The Powerpuff Girls have always saved the world before bedtime, but Mojo Jojo is back with his most diabolical scheme yet. As Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup face off with their enemy, the girls may have found the one challenge that has them staying up past bedtime. The only positive thing I have to say about this is that it was nice to see some effort into bringing the Powerpuff Girls back to television, but it was a poor attempt. This special had inaccuracies in relation to the history that was mapped out in the original series. The humor is pathetic and nothing like the witty jokes I remember. Regarding the artistic style, it gives off an attitude that is unlike the original series and all that it stood for. It beautifies the girls and makes them out to be much older than they are, which is appalling, and they are written completely out of character. Rather than pay homage to the classic series we all know and love, this title goes for cheap comedy that is poorly executed. It's just white noise with all the other sub- par cartoons on television. I remember when I first saw the commercials for this I knew it was gonna SUCK! And it did, after I first saw this I instantly hated it. For one thing I hate what they did to the characters. They made them look like idiots. Like in one scene Mayor couldn't reach his pickle jar because it was on a high shelf so he calls the girls to help him. But Bubbles won't leave because she is addicted to this dance game they got at the store. So they go without her. But when the other two get to the mayor's office they discover they need Bubbles to help them get it down. WHAT?!?! How many Powerpuff girls does it take to take a pickle jar from a high shelf? Apparently according to this special, all three. And another thing that doesn't make sense is when they're forced to work for the evil side they somehow turn into these robot things. Even the way the robots are defeated is a dance off. Once again: WHAT?!?! WHY?!?! It literally feels like the characters were watered down from the original show for this special. And another thing. The animation, It's ugly, which is sad because technology has gotten better. If the original has better animation than this than that's saying something because it originally came out in the late 90s. So what I would do is give this a skip and go watch the original some more.(including the 2008 special Powerpuff Girls Rule! which should of been the last episode)
